Original Medicare may not cover all your health-related needs. Here at Benefits Assistance, we sell BlueCross BlueShield Supplements that give additional coverage to Medicare Part A and Part B. These help fill in the gaps of what original Medicare doesn’t cover.
We can also help you enroll in Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage. Part D prescription drug plans, also called PDPs, help make prescription drugs more affordable for people with Medicare. This is a separate drug plan you purchase in addition to Medicare that can help reduce your drug costs. If you choose not to purchase a Prescription Drug Plan when first eligible you will be subject to a late enrollment penalty.
You’ll usually pay a portion of the cost for your covered medication and your plan will pay the rest. Part D plans have a monthly plan premium and some may also have a deductible – an amount you have to pay before your cost-sharing starts. These plans have a list of covered drugs and participating pharmacies.
